Invite a seller
The fastest way to fill a new classifieds site is one real seller at a time. Pick a ready-written message, tweak it if you like, and send it straight from your phone.
Aim for at least 10 real listings in a category before you send traffic to it — visitors who land on a near-empty page rarely come back.
Focus outreach on two pages at a time so they fill fast enough to be worth ranking.
A local guide page only ranks if the listings behind it are real. Once a page reaches 10 live, non-demo ads, it is ready for a written guide.
Go where the sellers already are. Estate and suburb WhatsApp groups, school and church notice boards, and the Helderberg community Facebook groups.
Offer the first sellers something. A free featured placement for the first handful of listings costs you nothing and gives people a reason to be first.
Post the listing for them. Many sellers will send you photos on WhatsApp before they will register. Load it, then hand the ad over.
